Testimonial-Complete Skin Ailment Curative
Hi Leslie,
I have to tell you (and you can use this on your website if you want),
I LOVE your products. My daughter's diaper rash was horrid when I got
home yesterday. It had been bad almost a week and we had used a
prescription the doctor recommended but nothing worked. I put the
cream you recommended on her before bed and after her bath in the
morning and at her post-nap diaper change the rash was GONE. I am
stunned. Thank you so much for making something to help my sweet
pea's bum!

Eastside Family Fair favorites
I knew moms were pretty amazing, but today I was blown away. At the Eastside Family Fair, a fair mainly consisting of mompreneuers and green products, I met so many creative, intelligent, talented, professional moms. None of whom lacked love for their children, as a matter of fact, much like me, started their business for that very love of their child. I was brought to tears with a few of their stories. Like me, many of the moms I met today had special-needs children, many share a similar story of being alone in their plight to help and heal their child. Several cried with me as we re-lived hard times, criticism and cruel or false judgements. I have so much respect for these women, and so much love. So, getting back on topic....sorry! I wanted to share my favorites of the show. Some I have photos of, others I dropped the ball on. I am adding their website and information, too.

Kat is the lady you want on YOUR team and NOT the other. She is the business woman we all wish we could be. She is perfect at handling the delicate task of managing a hundred mompreneurs (need I repeat..managing a hundred women). A few of Kat's juggling skills: suggesting networking opportunities to mompreneurs, getting donations for events, organizing events, running a business, handling staff and just being superwoman. Most of us would be frazzled by 1/4 the work Kat does, but she makes it look like making cake in an easy-bake-oven. I'm so thankful to have met her, and even more thankful to be on her team.

Nonny Baby:
Summer is not only beautiful and mother to four children, but she makes the most fabulous blankets I've ever seen. Summer is warm & easy to talk to. Her blankets are top-notch and would make a great gift for even the pickiest mamas. Best of all, Summer is passionate about helping children in foster care and donates a blanket, for every blanket sold, to a child in foster care. Mompreneur power!

Cozy Baby Boutique:
So, I forgot to get a picture of the owner, Ann-Marie Speirs, but at least I captured a glimpse of the spirit in the booth. Supportive of all things natural: babywearing, cloth diapering, non-toxic art supplies, etc. I bought my daughter some stainless steel straws at her booth. Ann-Marie is superb and a great resource for all things natural-parenting.

My Mama's Love with my Boo:
This was my favorite show by far. I love being surrounded by amazing women and even more amazing moms. My Mama's Love was there raising money for My Mama's Love Foundation , educating people on chemicals and chemical sensitivities, and clearing up eczema and diaper rash one Complete Skin Ailment jar at a time. Thank you to all that stopped by to say hello. I sure appreciate you. To all our new customers: I can't wait for your feedback on our products. www.my-mamas-love.com
Incredible Inedible Cakes:
Owner Ashley McGill makes diaper cakes and other gift packages that are unique and creative. I've seen a lot of diaper cakes in my day, and never been tempted to buy one. However, I can easily see buying on of Ashleys cakes, they are works of art.

Bella and Max:
It's a store, it's a hair salon, it's both! Baby stores are a dime a dozen so what makes Bella and Max worth driving out of your way for? The quirky, fun, unique items they sell. Onsies with catchy, humorous sayings like "Oops, I pooped it again" and "Definitely worth the wait", etc. and other fun gift ideas you won't find just anywhere. They also offer kid-friendly haircuts in fun toys. Check them out!

Itsabelly:
I sure wish I'd known about this resource years ago. Itsabelly is a baby planning company and an immense, seemingly limitless, resource. Of course, itsabelly wouldn't be on my list if they weren't green, and boy are they green. Itsabelly wrote a book on green, titled "Going green with baby". Doesn't get any greener than that!

And last, but certainly not least:
City Mommy:
I'm surprised I haven't heard of this resource beofore; I seem to be on most of the mommy-talk sites. City Mommy is local, it's moms from Seattle and the surrounding area. I love talking to moms online, finding people who share my parenting style and have similar parenting trials and tribulations, however, I am forever virtual-b.f.f with so many moms I may never meet; it's depressing. I love the idea of chatting with moms that I may actually be able to see face to face at some point. Not to mention, it's a great city guide, too. Love it!

If you have any of these things lying around and want to get rid of them, we'll happily take them off your hands. Alternately, if you'd rather donate an item instead of money, these are the items the family needs for their home.
-Windows
-Doors
-Electrical supplies (wiring, outlet covers, etc.)
-Plumbing supplies
-Wood stain
-Wood (for making cabinets, sub-flooring, etc.)
-Plywood
-Drywall
-Roofing supplies
-Nails or Screws
-Toilets - RECEIVED-THANK YOU Laura Billington and Theresa Lynn
-Bathroom sink
-Kitchen sink - RECEIVED-THANK YOU Tot Spot Cafe
-Shower enclosure
-Bathtub
-Faucets
-Light fixtures
-Kitchen Chandelier - RECEIVED-THANK YOU Kate & Mike Iverson
-Appliances (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, etc.)
-Other building supplies or gift cards for Lowes or Home Depot.
Imagine what we can accomplish for this family if we each just get rid of something that's collecting dust in our garage anyway. Maybe you have an old mirror, toilet, sink or tub from a remodel lying around? A box of screws from a project you've long finished? A light fixture because you upgraded to something nicer? Anything helps. Many thanks, friends.

My Mama's Love is playing Santa
This year My Mama's Love wants to give back and help a few people in need. Do you know someone with a new baby that doesn't have a lot of money? We'd like to send them our Baby Kit. Do you know an attachment mama or daddy that loves to massage their baby and could use some Lullabye Love? Please send us their name, address, the product you have in mind and a little about them so we can add them to our entries. We'll be selecting and mailing gifts through the end of the year. Happy Holiday!

Random act of kindness project #54-UPDATE
My Mama's Love wants to update you on the community project that it is sponsoring. You may remember the family from this post
This is how far the money raised, plus money the family has been able to contribute themselves, has taken them. They are again without resources to move on and a roof is essential before winter hits. I am so grateful to those of you that have contributed to this project and so proud to be a part of a community that reaches out to those in need and helps. I get goosebumps every time I receive a donation for this family because I know times are tough for most of us and that giving requires even more of a sacrifice these days than it did five years ago. I appreciate you all, and the family appreciate you even more.

Random act of kindness project #54
Dear friends,
My Mama's Love is devoted to helping those in need, I feel we're all connected and have a moral and spiritual obligation to help out where we can. Times are hard and I am seeing more people in need than I have ever witnessed before. It breaks my heart. I feel compelled to help in whatever capacity I can.
My random act of kindness # 54 is more than I can tackle alone and will take a community effort; you are the community I am reaching out to. I hope you will feel compelled to help in whatever capacity you can. Anything helps.
My current project is one that comes with a sense of urgency, it's for a family with dire housing needs. A little history on the family: a hard working mom, a hard working dad. Both laid off around the same time but working odd jobs as often as they can. They are doing anything and everything to make ends meet. This family is living in a collapsing mobile home, one that was only supposed to last them long enough to build their home, something the husband can do himself, as he's skilled. Last winter, just before the house was complete, the entire home collapsed due to the heavy snow fall in Eastern Washington. They were completely devastated, and still pay on the loan they took out for supplies to build the home. They had no insurance.
Now the family, still living in the trailer that is falling apart, is fearing where they will live when it collapses this winter, something that will happen with certainty (you'll see why when you look at the pictures). This family is not lazy, they are incredibly unfortunate and have come upon hard times, really hard times.
The husband is capable of building a log cabin that will house them nicely. They are able to pull wood from the property, but need money for all the other expenses. They already have electricity and sewer from their home that fell down. They are confident that they can build a home for $ 5000.00. It's a lot of money, but it's nothing when you consider what it is providing...a warm, safe shelter for a family of 6.
Winter comes early in Eastern Washington, hence the dire urgency. If you can offer any help, it would not go unappreciated. My Mama's Love hopes to raise $5000.00 to deliver this family a happy ending soon.
